Basisk India

Basisk India is a contemporary fashion brand focused on minimal, breathable, and ethically made clothing. The brand’s philosophy — “Comfort is the main character energy” — merges effortless silhouettes with handcrafted detailing. The objective of this project was to create a Scandinavian-style e-commerce website that looks refined, feels premium, and conveys the brand’s design values of simplicity, comfort, and authenticity

Project Overview

We built a clean, editorial-style website that embodies Basisk’s design sensibility — soft neutrals, structured whitespace, and natural tones that mirror the textures of its fabrics. Each collection emphasizes “Dressed out, not dressed up” — translating the brand’s ethos into a digital environment that feels both artistic and shoppable. The platform is designed to balance brand storytelling with high-performance e-commerce functionality, ensuring every visitor experiences the calm, timeless essence of Basisk.

Objective

Basisk aims to be a premium, slow-fashion label defined by minimalist web design that fuses Scandinavian aesthetics with Indian craft. The project will enhance e-commerce navigation and visual merchandising to boost conversion and build a scalable foundation for future growth.

Design & UX Approach

The design adopts a Scandinavian minimal aesthetic — wide margins, muted palettes, and a focus on visual breathing space. Product cards are intentionally large and uniform to highlight textures, drapes, and colours. Typography hierarchy is subtle yet consistent, with clean font type for navigation and slightly condensed fonts for titles.

Content Structure

The Content Structure immediately immerses users with Hero Section editorial banners and highlights new arrivals in a clean, symmetrical New & Now grid.

Typography & Colour

The design reinforces Basisk's Scandinavian-minimalist and premium identity using a uniform typographic system: Proxima Nova. This font provides a clean, modern aesthetic for headings.
